9/14/09 Beasley Named to Board of Trustees of Laurel School for Girls

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is pleased to announce that Teresa M. Beasley, of counsel in the firm’s Cleveland office, has been named to the Board of Trustees of the Laurel School for Girls.  The Laurel School, founded in 1896, is a nationally recognized college preparatory, independent day school for girls kindergarten through grade 12, with a coeducational early childhood program.

Beasley is a member of Vorys’ commercial and real estate group and focuses her practice on real estate, government relations, economic development incentives, and general business law. She also deals with public sector law and residential and commercial real estate transactions, including project financing and development. Prior to joining Vorys, Beasley served as Law Director for the City of Cleveland, managing a legal team of 83 assistant law directors  and providing legal counsel to the Mayor, City Council, and all other City officials, committees and boards. 

Beasley also serves on several other organizations’ boards in Northeast Ohio including Cleveland Botanical Garden, Village Capital Corporation, Black Professionals Association Charitable Foundation, Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Visiting Committee and Cleveland Foundation’s African American Outreach Advisory Committee.

Beasley received her J.D. from the Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.  She received her B.A. from the University of Alabama.
