Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP attorneys F. James Foley and Michael J. Hendershot co-authored the Ohio chapter of Misrepresentation in the Life, Health, and Disability Insurance Application Process: A National Survey. The book, a project of the Life Insurance Law Committee of the Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, is intended to provide practitioners an overview, state by state, of the law regarding misrepresentations in the context of life, health and disability applications and how misrepresentations by the applicant or insured are treated under the applicable law.
Foley is a partner in Vorys’ litigation group. He practices extensively in the area of insurance and general litigation, and has represented numerous corporations, insurance companies and financial institutions regarding insurance sales practices, insurance coverage and alleged violations of state insurance laws. He is a member of the Legal Committee of The National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds. Hendershot is an associate in the litigation group and also practices in insurance law.
