Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP (Vorys), headquartered in Columbus, Oh., has announced the firm will open an office in Houston, Tx.
David Oliver has been elected as partner and will open the new Houston office today. Oliver, who joins Vorys from Porter & Hedges, is a litigator who focuses his practice on personal injury and toxic tort trial work.

Oliver is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has tried dozens of personal injury cases to verdict, winning all but one in favor of the defendant. Oliver is particularly proficient in the science of chemicals and disease, having tried cases specifically related to asbestos, benzene, chromium and zinc; cancer, cognitive impairment and pulmonary fibrosis. He will be joined in Vorys’ Houston office by several attorneys, paralegals and staff. The Houston office will initially focus on clients’ litigation needs.
