Ms. Mitchell’s presentation, ‘The Special Education Challenge for Public Charter Schools’, discussed a ten-step outline for schools to work with special education students while following complicated federal and state laws.
Ms. Smith and Ms. Brewer’s presentation, ‘Structure and Substance for Good Corporate Governance-Why Good Ethics and Governance Help Efficiency and Fiscal Responsibility in Troubled Times’, discussed how ethics laws and good corporate governance impact a Board’s consistent decision making, ability to establish a vision and offer guidance, and capacity to set an agenda.
