Ochmann Named Outstanding Young Healthcare Lawyer

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is proud to announce that Patricia M. Ochmann, of the Akron office, has been selected as a 2008 Outstanding Young Healthcare Lawyer by Nightingale’s Healthcare News.  Ochmann joins 11 other attorneys from across the nation in receiving this honor.

Ochmann counsels hospitals, physicians and other health care providers on regulatory and transactional matters including Stark and Anti-Kickback fraud and abuse, joint ventures, corporate compliance, physician recruitment and employment, medical staff matters, tax-exempt issues, clinical research and institutional review board matters, and mergers and acquisitions.  Recently, she served as lead counsel for a hospital in a complex, multi-million dollar transaction involving the acquisition of a physician practice, purchase of real estate and employment of multiple physicians.

Ochmann received her J.D. magna cum laude from The University of Akron School of Law and her B.S. from Kent State University.  She is a graduate of Leadership Akron’s Class XXIV and is an active volunteer within the Akron community.
