Robert W. Hayes
Mr. Hayes is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the commercial and real estate group. His practice focuses on representing financial institutions in commercial lending and structured finance transactions, including asset-based credit facilities, second lien, sponsor and mezzanine facilities, securitization transactions, real estate secured facilities, and general commercial lending transactions. Mr. Hayes has represented several public companies in syndicated, multi-currency credit facilities and has experience representing financial institutions and borrowers in derivative transactions, including transactions under the ISDA Master Agreement and related schedules and annexes. Mr. Hayes also has experience representing financial institutions in restructuring and forbearance arrangements.
Mr. Hayes received his J.D. from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law, his M.B.A. from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, and his B.A. in Accounting magna cum laude from the University of Dayton. Prior to joining Vorys, Mr. Hayes worked for JPMorgan Chase for seven years as a credit analyst, underwriting complex loan transactions, and as a relationship manager, managing deposit and lending relationships for business clients.
