Joseph W. Harper
Mr. Harper is an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the litigation group. He practices in general litigation, with an emphasis on complex civil litigation and litigation under the federal False Claims Act. Mr. Harper has represented defense contractors and health care entities in False Claims Act litigation, and is also experienced in business litigation.
Notable experience includes:
- Successfully representing clients in all facets of False Claims litigation, including subpoena investigation, motions to dismiss, discovery, summary judgment, appeals, and case resolution
- Managing electronic discovery in multi-million dollar False Claims Act cases and developing cost-effective strategies to preserve, collect, review, and produce electronically stored information
- Successfully representing clients in federal and state courts of appeals
Mr. Harper is a member of the American Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.
Mr. Harper received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law where he was a John Henry Wigmore scholar. He received his B.S. in biology, cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati.
