Robin L. Grant
Ms. Grant is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the corporate and finance practice group. She assists clients with corporate governance, regulatory compliance, business formation and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Grant has significant experience providing counseling, transactional and corporate governance services to a diverse group of financial institutions and financial service providers, as well as their holding companies and investors.
Her notable experience includes:
- Assisting three separate community banks in raising between $3 million and $7 million of capital through private offerings of common stock
- Serving as regulatory counsel to community and mid-sized financial institutions, including de novo formation, general regulatory compliance, equity offerings, holding company reorganizations and merger and acquisition transactions
- Representing buyers and sellers in a variety of asset and stock transactions ranging from $1 million to several hundred million dollars.
- Assisting an Ohio county throughout the development of a 5,000-space publicly owned intermodal transit facility, securing more than $30 million in state and federal grants, loans and ARRA stimulus funding and coordinating related regulatory and administrative compliance with state and federal agencies
- Serving as transaction counsel in the acquisition by a non-profit client of two non-profit target entities, resulting in a win-win deal that saved the target entities from financial crisis and increased services for the acquiring client
Ms. Grant is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
Ms. Grant received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law where she was the Marketing Editor of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution, and a founding associate and team leader of The Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law. She received her B.A. in Journalism magna cum laude from The Ohio State University.
