Bryan J. Farkas
Mr. Farkas is a partner in the Vorys Cleveland office where he practices business and commercial law. He is also a member of the firm's Israel practice. He primarily represents mature companies, investors, start-ups and financial institutions in acquisitions, financings, restructurings, insolvency proceedings, commercial litigation matters and real estate transactions.
His notable experience includes:
- Representing a purchaser of a $14.5 million nursery out of bankruptcy and receivership
- Acting as lead counsel to a borrower in a $50 million secured line of credit transaction
- Frequently representing creditors, receivers and trustees in bankruptcy, and other insolvency proceedings
- Regularly counseling financial institutions in all aspects of creditors' rights' law
- Representing closely held companies in all phases of maturation
Mr. Farkas received his J.D. cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego.
Mr. Farkas spends significant time in Israel. He lived there from 1994-1996, when he completed a post-graduate program in Jewish philosophy and Talmudic law at the Heiden Torah Institute, Machon Shlomo.
