Marcel C. Duhamel
Mr. Duhamel is a partner in the Vorys Cleveland office and a member of the litigation group. He focuses his practice on complex litigation, class actions, electronic discovery and appellate practice. He advises and represents clients in connection with complex ESI issues, both prior to and during litigation, seeking the most cost effective means to avoid and resolve discovery disputes. He has frequently represented national banks in defense of consumer and commercial class actions, lender liability claims, and predatory lending claims. He has also represented clients in products liability disputes, disputes under CERCLA and RCRA, intellectual property litigation and general business litigation.
Mr. Duhamel is an active participant in the EDRM Model Code of Conduct Project, and has spoken on subjects related to ESI and e-discovery, class actions, and trial advocacy.
Career highlights include:
- Arguing more than twenty cases before various courts of appeal
- Developing substantial expertise in e-discovery and ESI
- Defending class actions and complex litigation in courts throughout the United States
Mr. Duhamel received his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School and his B.A. summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University.
Mr. Duhamel clerked for the Honorable Ann Aldrich of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
