Kevin T. Duffy
Mr. Duffy is a senior attorney in the Vorys Cleveland office and a member of the commercial and real estate group. His practice focuses on creditor’s rights and workouts. Mr. Duffy has more than 25 years of experience in both private and law department settings. Prior to joining Vorys, Mr. Duffy was senior counsel at a national financial institution where he provided legal advice and counsel about commercial law, workout, bankruptcy, commercial lending and credit for a wide variety of simple to complex commercial matters for middle market, large corporate, private client and real estate lines of business.
Mr. Duffy’s legal services to clients have recently included:
- negotiating, drafting and revising loan restructuring, amendment and workout documents;
- legal, credit and reputational risk mitigation, preference and fraudulent transfer issues and regulatory compliance;
- asset recovery, asset disposition (including loan portfolio and individual loan sales) and collection and workout strategies, and;
- bankruptcy issues including, executory contract issues, proofs of claim, first day orders and assets sales.
Mr. Duffy is admitted to practice before U. S. Courts of Appeal for the Second and Sixth Circuits, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and all state courts in Ohio .
Mr. Duffy is member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
