Senior E-Discovery Analyst Columbus

Job Description:

The Senior E-Discovery Analyst is responsible for managing electronic discovery data in the processing, analysis, review and production phases of e-discovery including quality control.  This position also serves as the expert on various processing and review technologies and acts as a consultant on data conversion issues, search technologies and problem solving.

 

Essential Job Duties:

·        Consult on data conversion issues, search technologies and problem solving.

·        Consult with attorneys on production specifications and requirements.

·        Process e-discovery received from clients for analysis and review.

·        Analyze e-discovery and recommend culling strategies prior to review.

·        Research and identify technology solutions to resolve e-discovery issues.

·        Use critical thinking and trouble-shooting skill to manage e-discovery in a defensible manner.

·        Develop new technologies and scripts to increase productivity.

·        Educate legal teams and clients on e-discovery issues, systems and processes.

·        Monitor and update processing specifications as needed.

·        Test and evaluate new technologies and upgrades.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

·        Must have a strong technical and legal background in the E discovery arena and have E- discovery case work industry experience. 

·        Knowledge of e-discovery processing and production software including LAW 5.0, Summation, Clearwell, Relativity and Catalyst.

·        Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of SQL & Search Syntax, Relational Databases, Windows Scripting, and Lotus Notes

·        3-6 years experience in e-discovery consulting in the legal field

·        Extensive knowledge of the concepts, principles, management and processing of electronically stored information (ESI) as they relate to legal matters, including the use of various ESI management and review tools and applications

·        Indepth knowledge of search including the ability to demonstrate proficiency with the proper handling of metadata, text extraction, indexing of data.

·        Extensive knowledge of the principles and concepts of project management

·        Must maintain commitment to teamwork. The willingness to work outside of regular work schedule is required as needed.  Strong analytical and research skills are also necessary with the ability to proactively and independently resolve complex issues.

·        The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task while working on both short and long term projects. The candidate should be a fast thinker/quick learner and possess the ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines.  Sense of urgency and outstanding customer service skills. 

 

Experience and Education:

·        A 4 year college degree and/or 3-6 years hands on experience managing e-discovery.

·        Project management experience a plus
