Terry M. Miller
Columbus Office
Mr. Miller is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation group where he focuses on commercial litigation, administrative practice, and bankruptcy litigation. In addition to handling adjudication matters before various Ohio administrative bodies, Mr. Miller has taken cases to final judgment in state and federal trial and appellate courts in Ohio as well as other states. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions, motor vehicle distributors and dealers and membership organizations, including golf clubs, trade associations, and fraternal benefit societies.
Career highlights include:
- Successfully litigating in state and federal courts dozens of motor vehicle franchising disputes concerning termination and other issues
- Serving as lead defense class counsel in the trial of a billion-dollar adversary proceeding resulting in a defense judgment
- Enforcing and collecting numerous European money judgments in the United States
- Obtaining favorable motion and trial dispositions of lender liability, common law, Uniform Commercial Code and other banking law claims against financial institution clients
Mr. Miller is a member of the American Bankruptcy Law Forum and the Columbus Bar Association.
Mr. Miller received his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law summa cum laude where he was the Associate Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. He received his B.S. from The Ohio State University.
