Lisa Pierce Reisz
Columbus Office
Ms. Reisz is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation group. She has significant experience in the area of commercial and business litigation. Her practice includes contract disputes, antitrust litigation, insurance coverage disputes, foreclosure litigation, employment discrimation litigation, employer intentional tort litigation as well as bankruptcy litigation, including preferences and fraudulent transfers. Ms. Reisz also has experience in the health care area specifically with state certification and licensing issues. She also serves as the firm’s pro bono coordinator.
Career highlights include:
- Successfully arguing before the Supreme Court of Ohio
- Numerous arguments before the 10th District Court of Appeals of Ohio
- Significant trial and hearing experience in the United States District Courts in Ohio, Delaware and New York, the Ohio state courts and administrative agencies
- Successfully defending numerous clients in summary judgment proceedings
- Successfully mediating numerous business and commercial litigation disputes
Ms. Reisz is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association.
Ms. Reisz has made presentations on Ohio’s proposed adoption of mandatory reporting for pro bono work, and successfully balancing a legal career and a family.
Ms. Reisz received her J.D. summa cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and a staff member and the Managing Editor of The Ohio State Law Journal. She received her B.A. cum laude from Harvard University.
