Suzanne J. Scrutton
Columbus Office
Ms. Scrutton is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office where she practices primarily in the healthcare area. She has specific expertise in the fields of behavioral health, mental retardation and developmental disabilities, including extensive experience with regulatory issues, Medicaid reimbursement and regulations, as well as contract negotiations with various payor sources. In addition, she represents charter schools relative to regulatory, compliance and financial issues.
Ms. Scrutton is a frequent speaker at mental retardation and developmental disability trade association meetings and has spoken at Ohio Provider Resource Association Meetings since 1998.
Ms. Scrutton received her J.D. from Capital University Law School where she was a member and Executive Articles Editor of the Capital University Law Review. She received her B.A. cum laude with honors from Albion College.
Before joining Vorys, Ms. Scrutton served as Chief Legal Counsel for the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and Legal Counsel to the Ohio Office of Budget and Management and the State Controlling Board.
