Sheryl Clark Stoll
Columbus Office
Ms. Stoll is of counsel in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the technology and intellectual property group. She has extensive experience assisting businesses and individuals with basic to highly-sophisticated licensing and technology transfer transactions, website and outsourcing transactions, electronic commerce and internet issues. She also practices regularly in entertainment law representing clients in the copyright, music licensing and book publishing areas.
Career highlights include:
- Serving as lead technology counsel for the development and implementation of a multi-million dollar systems integration/multi-year project to centralize and manage all financial and distribution systems for a Fortune 500 company
- Being instrumental in the formation of and serving as lead counsel to one of the largest manufacturing research consortiums in North America
- Serving as lead negotiator for a large public utility in a multi-million dollar outsourcing transaction, including all data processing functions and help desk services
- Structuring and negotiating a number of systems integration transactions and assisting a variety of industrial clients in the development of web-based electronic commerce marketplaces
- Serving as counsel to the originator producer of a local stage musical production, including protection of all intellectual property
Ms. Stoll has spoken on numerous technology law topics for organizations such as the Pittsburgh High Technology Council, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Health Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Association, and the University of Dayton School of Law.
Ms. Stoll received her J.D. with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from Cornell College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Mortar Board.
