Michael J. Settineri

Columbus Office

Mr. Settineri is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of both the labor and employment and energy practice groups.  In addition to litigating claims related to benefit plans, he works with employers on benefit plan issues, including plan design, employee communications, compliance with ERISA, tax effects, and contracting with administrative service providers.  Mr. Settineri also practices in the area of natural resources law, with an emphasis on renewable energy sources, including wind energy, oil and gas.

His notable experience includes:

  • Negotiating wind turbine leases on behalf of land owners within the natural resource law practice
  • Representing clients in billing disputes with public utilities
  • Resolving withdrawal liability issues related to multi-employer pension plans for multiple clients
  • Litigating a variety of ERISA cases on a national basis, including appeals to various federal appellate courts 

Mr. Settineri is a member of the Columbus Bar Association.

Mr. Settineri has spoken at seminars on various topics relating to employee benefit plans and domestic partnership benefits.

Mr. Settineri received his J.D. cum laude from Capital University Law School and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
