Mr. Ott is an associate in the Vorys Washington, D.C. office where he is a member of the intellectual property, media and entertainment group. His practice focuses on trademarks and copyrights including prosecution, licensing, counseling, and litigation.

His notable experiences include:

• Serving as a trademark examining attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Examining trademark applications from foreign and U.S. applicants for statutory and procedural compliance
• Preparing appeal briefs and representing the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in oral arguments before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board
• Representing a California individual in a death penalty case

Mr. Ott is a member of the District of Columbia and California State Bar Associations.

Mr. Ott received his J.D. cum laude from Tulane University Law School and his B.A. from Mercer University.
