Mr. Goodbar is a state and local tax accountant in the Vorys Columbus office.  He works with the firm’s state and local tax practice group to perform sales and use tax audits and compliance reviews to support the tax compliance, audit and refund needs of the Firm’s clients.

Mr. Goodbar is a member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation.

Mr. Goodbar has 40 years experience in the tax industry.  Prior to joining Vorys, he was employed as a Senior Tax Auditor at Towe & Associates and was with the Ohio Department of Taxation before retiring after 30 years of service as a Sales/Use Tax Agent.  While with the Ohio Department, he was a member of the department’s central audit staff and was responsible for many tax audits of the state’s largest manufacturing businesses.  During his tenure, Mr. Goodbar achieved Agent Level 5 status, the highest agent classification.
