Dorothea K. Langsam

Cincinnati Office

Ms. Langsam is an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the litigation practice group.  She has experience in constitutional law, intellectual property, defamation and media, and appeals.

Her career highlights include:

  • Successfully arguing appeal in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, obtaining reversal of Board of Immigration Appeals’ denial of cancellation of removal
  • Obtaining a reversal in the Ninth Circuit of denial of habeas corpus, and on remand reversal of murder conviction due to prosecution’s failure to disclose exculpatory evidence

Ms. Langsam is a member of the California Bar Association.

Ms. Langsam received her J.D. summa cum laude from Indiana University School of Law where she was the Executive Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Review.  She received her B.A. from Macalester College.

Ms. Langsam was a law clerk for the Honorable Marsha Berzon on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit  and for the Honorable Thomas Ambro on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Before joining Vorys, Ms. Langsam practiced at the San Francisco law firm of Altshuler Berzon LLP.
