Carter M. Stewart

Columbus Office

Mr. Stewart is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation group.  He specializes in complex litigation matters and has experience in commercial litigation, criminal defense, antitrust, and education law.

His notable experience includes:

  • Prosecuting a wide range of cases, including money laundering, illegal immigration, narcotics possession, and the unlawful distribution of performance-enhancing drugs to professional athletes while working as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of California

Mr. Stewart is a member of the American Bar Association.

Mr. Stewart received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, his M.A. from Columbia University and his B.A. from Stanford University.

Mr. Stewart clerked for The Honorable Robert L. Carter of the Southern District of New York and The Honorable Raymond L. Finch of the District of the Virgin Islands.

Before joining Vorys, Mr. Stewart worked as a litigation associate at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen LLP (now Bingham McCutchen LLP) in San Francisco where he focused on antitrust, shareholder class action suits and commercial contract disputes.
