J. Theodore Smith
Columbus Office
Mr. Smith is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the commercial and real estate group. Mr. Smith practices in general real estate development, and has specific expertise in construction and design contracts, condominium law, real estate acquisition and sales, real estate covenants and restrictions, leasing, liens, evictions and real estate secured finance.
Mr. Smith is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and an associate member of the Building Industry Association of Central Ohio.
Mr. Smith is a frequent speaker at seminars concerning Ohio's Condominium Act.
Mr. Smith is also a licensed title agent, affiliated with Chicago Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company, and Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation.
Mr. Smith received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law where he served as a member and Associate Administrative Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. He received his B.S. from Purdue University where he was a member of Chi Epsilon, Civil Engineering honorary.
