Theodore P. Mattis
Columbus Office
Mr. Mattis is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation group. He specializes in defending physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation and employers in workers' compensation and general employment matters. Mr. Mattis also has extensive experience in personal injury and premises liability defense litigation.
Career highlights include:
- Defending hospitals and physicians in serious malpractice cases involving neurological and other grave injuries
- Defending employers in numerous jury trials of appealed workers' compensation claims and thousands of workers' compensation hearings at the administrative level
- Successfully arguing for employers in numerous appellate cases involving workers' compensation issues
Mr. Mattis is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio Farm Bureau.
Mr. Mattis has lectured on a variety of topics including general trial practice, defense of medical negligence cases and substantive workers' compensation law matters.
Mr. Mattis received his J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University College of Law, where he was a member of The Ohio State University Law Journal. He received his B.A. cum laude from The Ohio State University.
