Ronald "Rocky" A. Robins, Jr.

Columbus Office

Mr. Robins is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office where he is a member of the corporate and finance practice group.  He specializes in general corporate law, as well as federal securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital.

Career highlights include:

  • Representing underwriters and issuers in numerous initial public offerings, shelf registrations and debt and equity financings
  • Representing several public companies in securities and merger and acquisition transactions totaling well in excess of $5 billion
  • Appearing before and advising the boards of many companies with respect to securities, merger and acquisition transactions, directors' fiduciary duties, recapitalizations and other matters

Mr. Robins is a member of the Columbus Bar Association.

Mr. Robins received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and his B.A. summa cum laude from  Duke University.

Mr. Robins clerked for The Honorable Milton Pollack of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.  During this time Judge Pollack presided over the civil proceedings against Drexel Burnham, Michael Milken and Ivan Boesky as well as over other securities-related matters.

Before joining Vorys, Mr. Robins practiced for several years as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York City.
