Kelly Jennings Yeoman
Columbus Office
Ms. Yeoman is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the labor and employment group. She concentrates her practice on labor and employment issues, including the defense of employers in employment-related claims, the development of personnel policies and practices, employee discipline and termination, and internal complaints and investigations. Ms. Yeoman also counsels clients regarding compliance with employment related statutes, such as Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the American Discrimination in Employment Act, (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and with Executive Order 11246 (affirmative action for federal contractors). In addition, Ms. Yeoman practices in the area of employment-related matters unique to colleges, universities, and academic environments.
Her notable experience includes:
- Defending employers before federal and state courts throughout the country, as well as federal, state and local administrative agencies and arbitration panels
- Representing and defending employers nationwide in affirmative action matters before the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP)
- Representing universities before the NCAA
Ms. Yeoman received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and her B.A. from Denison University.
Ms. Yeoman has presented at seminars on a variety of topics, including sexual harassment, equal employment opportunity, ADA compliance, FMLA compliance and compliance with Executive Order 11246.
