Colleen M. Garrity

Columbus Office

Ms. Garrity is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the litigation practice group. She specializes in civil and workers’ compensation litigation.

Her notable experience includes:

  • Successfully arguing before the Ohio 10th District Court of Appeals
  • Defending numerous employers in workers' compensation proceedings throughout the State of Ohio
  • Obtaining an award of attorney fees for a client we successfully defended against a frivolous appeal
  • Successfully defending a large national insurer in an ERISA action

Ms. Garrity received her J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law where she was the Public Relations Editor for the Ohio State Law Journal.  Additionally, she was a recipient of the Donald S. Teller Memorial Award and the Strong Award for Legal Writing.  She received her B.S. magna cum laude from John Carroll University.

Ms. Garrity clerked for the Honorable Thomas J. Moyer, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio.
