Stephen D. Browning

Columbus Office

Mr. Browning is a partner in the Vorys Columbus office where he practices primarily in the areas of commercial finance and real estate.  Mr. Browning represents both borrowers and lenders in a wide range of sophisticated financing transactions, including syndicated loans, asset based loans, multi-currency transactions, general secured transactions, loan restructurings, and construction loans. His practice also includes the purchase and sale of commercial real estate, business contracts, real estate finance, asset acquisitions and sales, and the purchase and sale of existing businesses.

Mr. Browning is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.

Mr. Browning is a frequent speaker on Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. 

Mr. Browning received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School where he was Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review.  He received his B.A. from Williams College.

Before joining Vorys, Mr. Browning was a corporate loan officer for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York from 1987 to 1990.
