Kiana C. Russell

Columbus Office

Ms. Russell is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office where she is a member of the labor and employment practice group and works primarily in the health care subgroup.  Ms. Russell advises clients on a wide range of state and federal regulatory issues, including licensure/certification, fraud and abuse, and Medicare and Medicaid compliance.  She interprets administrative regulations and their impact on child welfare, foster care practice, and behavioral health law.  Ms. Russell counsels clients on a variety of federal and state employment statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

Her notable experience includes:

  • Assisting in the drafting of an employee handbook and personnel guide for an Ohio mental health facility
  • Drafting course materials for The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law seminar Criminal Law and the Boardroom

Ms. Russell is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Law Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association.

Ms. Russell received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law where she served as Symposium Editor for The Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law.  She received her B.A. cum laude from The Ohio State University.
