Terri Reyering Abare
Ms. Abare is a partner in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the corporate and finance group. Her practice includes banking law, general corporate law, securities law, and mergers and acquisitions. She handles mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, initial public offerings, securities registration and reporting, financial services regulation, de novo bank formation, mutual to stock conversions, and general business counseling. Ms. Abare counsels a diverse group of clients including publicly traded companies, investment banking firms and closely held companies.
Career highlights include:
- Lead attorney on more than 25 mergers/acquisitions
- Lead attorney on more than ten initial public offerings, including a $335 million initial public offering
- Lead attorney on numerous mutual to stock conversions, including the first mutual to stock conversion utilizing a charitable foundation in Ohio
Ms. Abare is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.
Ms. Abare has spoken on a variety of corporate and banking topics, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, mutual to stock conversions and the duties of corporate officers and directors.
Ms. Abare received her J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. from Miami University.
